SB-442 - Swimming Pool Safety Act
Home Inspectors are now required to report on the absence, or presence of 2 of the 7 swimming pool/spa safety feature requirements when a swimming pool/ spa is present. This bill was originally initiated due to the high number of children ranging from 1 to 4 years old that drowned each year. According to the statics, the #2 reason for the deaths of children from 1-4 years old every year... is drowning. So this law was implemented to not only protect your child, but the lives of other children as well who could wander onto your property inadvertently.
